This is the place to go to for Italian cuisine with an Isle of Wight twist – plus you can also snap up fancy groceries and take-away treats from the deli counter. The lunches are extremely popular (soups, salads, paninis, quiches) and all the food is freshly prepared. The specials are exceptional and use local produce wherever possible – mmm, anyone for fresh lobster and red pepper risotto? Or lobster thermidore omelette? The smoothies are out of this world… and just wait until you see the puddings (the guys here are very skilled pastry chefs, having worked at top joints like Ventnor’s Royal Hotel). We particularly love their posh bakewells (like blueberry and pinenut). The fig and almond frangipane tart is shown above… now tell me you’re not hungry? Plus, the coffee is rumoured to be the best on the Isle of Wight (see Trip Advisor). Breakfasts are also rated as ‘awesome’.
