There’s always loads going on here, including activities for children and other fun events. It’s also home to the local knitting club – the Woolly Minded Craft Club – and they host regular exhibitions to show visitors their creations, including a completely fabulous knitted allotment (above). At one point the library was almost taken over by a giant grape vine (right) and we were treated to knitted daffodils in the spring and a graveyard at Halloween. They also showcase local artists’ work plus you can hire out DVDs, play chess with the kids, and use the computers. Oh – and there are books here too!
