This beautiful Victorian villa has a lovely subtropical garden to relax in, after a hard day at the beach. There are many types of different palms that grow here as the winters tend to be mild – a tree fern (Dicksonia Antarcitica), Cannas (different colours), Echuims from the Canary Islands (can grow up to 8 feet tall), Bananas (Musa Basjoo & Musa Hooka) and many other types of plants and shrubs. In the spring, the garden looks very pretty with daffodils, tulips and other spring bulbs in bloom.
All the bedrooms are en-suite with tea and coffee making facilities and colour TV (8 channels). Most rooms have been recently refurbished and have been fitted with pine style furnishings. Guests describe it as ‘coming home’.
St Maur is situated in a lovely, peaceful spot. Ventnor Park and the Ventnor Botanic Garden are close by. The town is also an easy stroll away, with all its interesting little shops, cafés and restaurants.
