What's On in Ventnor

There’s always something going on in Ventnor, from country markets to festivals attracting world-wide attention. Ventnor hosts many cultural events, including the Fringe Festival, Open Studios and an annual Carnival. Plus there are regular art displays on at the Botanic Garden and other venues too. This is a very child-friendly town and there are always lots of activities to keep the kids amused (if they ever tire of the beach!).

Ventnor Exchange

The Ventnor Exchange is a non-profit, creative hub – and a magnet for those passionate about culture. Based in the former Post Office, it has a studio theatre, record store and bar, and it’s the best place on the Island to catch new work, as well as the perfect place to browse vinyl, meet friends and relax with like minded people.

Every August they are responsible for the annual Ventnor Fringe Festival, the Isle of Wight’s unique take on the famous Edinburgh Fringe.

Ventnor Arts Club

Ventnor Arts Club is situated in the centre of town. Come along to relax, have a drink, enjoy a film, live broadcasts from the Royal Opera House, NT, RSC, Royal Ballet and more. We host live music and a range of regular events with local community groups. The club is available for private hire and is a great location for receptions, business meetings and presentations.

Ventnor Country Market

The Ventnor Country Market is on every Saturday morning at the Baptist Church selling a fabulous range of home produce. This includes cakes and savouries, many different breads and pastries, jams and preserves, soups in season, local free range eggs and vegetables

There’s also a café serving tea, coffee, soft drinks and cakes, so you can drop, after you shop.
