The Ventnor Country Market is on every Saturday morning at the Baptist Church selling a fabulous range of home produce. This includes cakes and savouries, many different breads and pastries, jams and preserves, soups in season, local free range eggs and vegetables. Plus there are cut flowers, plants, and a good variety of crafts (including the cutest knitted teddies for kids). Get there early to snap up the best bargains!
This popular market is a great source of local produce with a virtually zero carbon footprint. All of the cooks and bakers have obtained their Level 2 Food Safety Certificates and have had their kitchens approved by the IOW Council. They only use free range eggs (in all the bakery products) and they’re the only place on the Island with an Eggscellent Award from the British Hen Welfare Trust.
There’s also a café serving tea, coffee, soft drinks and cakes, so you can drop, after you shop.
