Ventnor Botanic Garden

Ventnor Botanic Garden

Nestling in the microclimate of The Undercliff, Ventnor Botanic Garden on the Isle of Wight has a subtropical and exotic plant collection unrivalled elsewhere in the UK. Plants which would normally be found in protected glasshouses thrive and naturalise in geographical plantings based on the Mediterannean zones of the world. Also look carefully along the rocky walls and you might spot one of the famous Ventnor lizards.

The new restaurant – Edulis – offers homecooked food using the finest ingredients grown at VBG or from the Island’s local suppliers.

Throughout holiday periods and weekends, various artists hold exhibitions of their works in the Visitor Centre. Plus there are also regular workshops for kids – very popular throughout the year. Also, make sure you book on one of the tours of the secret tunnel to the cliff…
