FREE tour

Not much is free anymore – so snap up the chance to have a FREE tour of Ventnor’s Alexandra Gardens, as part of Heritage Open Days, on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 September. The houses have magnificent views over the coast and the jewel in the crown (in our humble opinion) is The Windsor Carlton, a swanky B&B right in the heart of the historic terrace. Man-eating plants

September is a great time to visit Ventnor Botanic Garden. As well as the usual flowers and stuff, they’re hosting design walks, ghost walks, a Hops Festival… and an outdoor screening of the cult classic film, Little Shop of Horrors, about a man-eating plant.
The Garden’s currently looking for donors to sponsor a panel in their Tropical House, which came in for a right old battering in the storms earlier this year. It’s £70 per panel and your name will go up on an engraved panel. Please get in touch with the Garden for more info.

Save the date

This is the date: Saturday 13 December 2014. So put it in your diary, now. We can’t give too much away just yet, but it’s going to be a really fun time to be in Ventnor.
