Welcome to Love Ventnor, a website for our special seaside town produced in association with the Ventnor Business Association. Have a look, enjoy… and even better advertise and support your local community!
Get ready for Isle of Arts!
This is one of the most exciting times of the year in Ventnor – for four whole days, this pretty lil’ town bursts into creative flower, with music, comedy, drama, film, literature and visual arts. Yes, we’re talking about the fabulous Isle of Arts Festival, which runs from 1-4 May. Acts include comedian Gyles Brandreth, cellist Julian Lloyd Webber, stargazer Mark Thompson and the Island’s very own David A Thornton and Hentai Babies (both favourites of LoveVentnor, in case you hadn’t noticed). Find out more here.
One of the first signs of Spring is the sight of ‘virgin’ bikers, cycling around our beautiful town. The excellent news is that if your bike is on the ‘tired’ side, or if you’re on hols here from the Big Island, then you can rent bikes now from Church Street Motorcycles. Yes Ventnor’s ‘good samaritan’ (County Press) has a chic range of cycles. Book now!
Ventnor’s award winning shop, Oh So Vintage, has a new range of frocks called The Retro Room. They’re made to original vintage patterns – but in today’s more generous sizings, to suit even the curviest customer. We love the fabrics and designs, available in sizes 10-24. They’re available in the Pier Street store and also from their website. We reckon they’re just the thing for the glamorous gal about town. Click here to see their very groovy video!
Don’t forget to keep in touch on Twitter @LoveVentnorUK. Somehow, we’ve now got 1000 followers (love you all!). Say hello and join the online party.
