Welcome to Love Ventnor, a website for our special seaside town produced in association with the Ventnor Business Association. Have a look, enjoy… and even better advertise and support your local community!
What a day! On Saturday 13 December, Ventnor celebrated Christmas by bringing the spirit of Dr Seuss to this magical town (renamed Ventnorville for the day). Visitors to Ventnor enjoyed meeting the Grinch and the festive fun included carols, punk rock, wine tasting, Santa’s grotto, a lantern parade, fake snow and Santa dash along the beach, with the Island’s fittest firefighters. A big thank you to everyone who got involved. Roll on next Christmas!
Ventnor’s award winning shop, Oh So Vintage, has a new range of frocks called The Retro Room. They’re made to original vintage patterns – but in today’s more generous sizings, to suit even the curviest customer. We love the fabrics and designs, available in sizes 10-24. They’re available in the Pier Street store and also from their website. We reckon they’re just the thing to bring a bit of glamour to winter parties. Click here to see their very groovy video!
Support your local post office!
You want a local post office? Well, we’re lucky enough to have one – so let’s use it! Your new Post Office on the High Street offers a range of services that could come in handy this Christmas. It’s a ‘click and collect’ location for parcels, and if you’re planning a winter break, there are eight currencies available on demand. They can order in any other currencies too for next day delivery (if you place your order before 1pm). The Post Office also offers a brilliant passport checking service and they even promise not to laugh at your pics! Over Christmas they will be opening for longer hours – and offering even more services – so support your local post office this season! (Or should that be Seasons).
Don’t forget to keep in touch on Twitter @LoveVentnorUK. Somehow, we’ve now got 1000 followers (love you all!). Say hello and join the online party.
